1952 Cinzano Original Vintage Poster
About the Item
Dating back to 1757, Cinzano is an iconic brand synonymous with the likes of Casanova. A family run business until 1985 (now owned by Campari), the famous vermouth drink from Turin is well known for its advertisements including the likes of Joan Collins, and like several other Italian drinks brands, of course its beautifully illustrated posters from the early to mid 20th century.
This gorgeous extra-large poster was designed by the great poster artist Jean Colin and is vibrant in colour. Produced in 1952, this piece is in mint condition and looked fantastic framed.

Jean Colin
Jean Colin was born in Paris in 1912. As a young adult, he discovered his love for drawing and art and eventually took part in various exhibitions such as the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs of 1947. In 1949, he traveled to Basel and joined a group of graphic designers, this decision would lead to the creation of the 'Alliance Graphique Internationale' in Paris in 1952. Colin worked hard as a young graphic artist, designing over three hundred posters and countless awards. He stands today as one of the most popular French poster designers.
