This beautiful & rare poster was created in 1952, advertising British Railways routes to Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire, England. With vibrant artwork by Gordon William Nicoll (1888-1959) depicting a scene of people enjoying the Shakespeare play "A Midsummer Night's Dream" in the home of the famous writer.
Produced for North American customers to encourage tourism and to "See Britain by Rail", this poster was published by British Railways (Western Region) and printed in Great Britain by Waterlow & Sons Limited.
