With fabulous artwork from French artist Nathan (Jacques Nathan-Garamond) who worked on several Air France posters of the era, this poster promoting the airlines routes to South America was created in 1965. Air France was created in 1933 after a merger of multiple French airlines and continues to be one of the largest airlines in the world today. Known for their fantastic posters from the mid-century, this piece is no exception.
Depicting a map of the continent, the design picks out highlights from some of the Air France destinations, such as Rio De Janerio in Brazil and Santiago in Chile. The stunning design also features images synonymous with the locations in the region such as the fauna, the beaches and the wildlife. This exceptionally rare piece is in fantastic condition.
