Recorded a few months after the release of "In Utero", "Nirvana MTV Unplugged in New York" is widely considered one of the greatest live albums of all time. Broadcast on MTV in December 1993, the album was released in November 1994, not 7 months after the tragic death of frontman Kurt Cobain.
This Geffen Records poster is from the original promotion of the album in 1994 and was distributed to record stores around the US. The album went to number one in the charts and has been certified 8x platinum, and also won the band their only Grammy award. The piece is in mint condition and features the famous photograph by Frank Micelotta.

The third and final album from one of the most influential bands of the latter 20th century, "In Utero" was released by Nirvana in September 1993. Distributed by DGC, a division of Geffen Records (both of whose logos are on the bottom of this poster), the album featured classics such as "Heart Shaped Box", "All Apologies" and "Pennyroyal Tea".
The album was a critical and commercial smash success, in spite of the bands attempt to create a less commercial sound following their huge fame.
