Orson Welles at the age of only twenty-five directed, produced, co-wrote and starred in this remarkable film. He deployed every narrative device and cinematic technique available: flashback, deep focus, high and low angle shots. These he reshuffled, reinvented, amplified, freeing the narrative from the convention of chronology and revolutionising the way a camera was used. Unlike the invisible Craft of someone like Howard Hawks, Welles’s authorship made its presence felt. The impact of Citizen Kane was both immediate and lasting. Repaired: Excellent condition, with the colours remaining very bright. Minor restoration to small tear in the right-hand border, slightly extending into Welles's hat. Wear consistent with age and use. This poster has been conservation Linen backed and conservation framed with UV plexiglass. The poster would boxed and shipped by Federal express.
