Stetson Company during World War Two with a propaganda warning - Let's bring him home quicker Loose talk lengthens the war Keep it under your Stetson - featuring a smiling sailor carrying his kit bag over his shoulder while opening the gate to his home to see his family after being on military duty. The American John B. Stetson Company (founded 1865) manufactured the iconic cowboy hats invented as a practical wide brimmed, waterproof and high quality durable hat by John Batterson Stetson (1830-1906) following an expedition with Western settlers. Good condition, restored tears, restored creasing, backed on linen.
