Original vintage poster advertising Schreibers Technische Modellierbogen / Technical Air Modelling kits featuring images of a Graf Zeppelin marked DLZ 127 and Junkers Flugzeug G38 aircraft on a blue background with the measurements and details on the side along with two other models listed, the Dornier-Flugschiff / airship and the Turbinen-Schnelldampfer Bremen Europe steamship with a note that many other models are available - und viele andere - all are described as being Leicht zusammenzubauen, genau garbeitet. Viele Tausende verkauft. Hier zu haben / Easy to put together, made precisely. Many thousands sold. Available to purchase here. Founded in 1831 by Jakob Ferdinand Schreiber (1809-1867), the J.F. Schreiber Publishing House starting producing cardboard models in 1878. The LZ 127 Deutsches Luftschiff Zeppelin (1928-1937) could carry up to 24 passengers and became the first airship to offer transatlantic flights; it also provided mail services, crossed the Pacific Ocean, flew to the Arctic and was the first airship to fly around the world. Two Junkers G.38 transport planes were built in 1929 and provided commercial services; one crashed in 1938 during a test flight, and the other entered military service and was destroyed during an air raid in 1941. Good condition, restored folds, light foxing, minor staining, backed on linen.
