Original vintage railway travel poster for France Brittany issued by the state owned French national railways (SNCF Societe Nationale des Chemins de Fer Francais; founded 1938) featuring a colourful painting depicting a view of fishing boats moored in a harbour with a lighthouse and buildings along the beach in the background. Artwork by Edmond Ceria (1884-1955). Printed by Draeger Paris France. Good condition, tears, creasing, staining.

Edmond Céria
Edmond Céria was born in Évian-les-Bains (Haute-Savoie). Céria studied at the Académie Julian. He exhibited with the Salon des Artistes Indépendants from 1907, the Salon d'Automne from 1912, and with the Salon des Tuileries from its foundation in 1925. Solo exhibitions included shows at the Galerie Bernheim in Paris and the Wildenstein Gallery in New York.
