Original vintage World War Two poster by the notable British cartoonist and illustrator Fougasse (Cyril Kenneth Bird; 1887-1965), from the popular iconic Careless Talk Costs Lives wartime propaganda series issued by the Ministry of Information - Of course there's no harm in your knowing! - featuring a couple in a restaurant leaning forward over their wine glasses talking with an image of Hitler wearing a Nazi swastika* armband lying under their table with a pen and paper taking notes, set within a red border with the stylised warning text in black lettering below. Good condition, repaired tears, creasing, paper skimming, backed on linen.
(*Note: the 1935-1945 flag of Germany featuring the swastika has been covered in the image but appears as originally printed on the poster itself.)
