Antique print titled 'De la Saulx'. Coats of arms / family crest of the 'De la Saulx' family. This print originates from 'Complement au nobiliaire des Pays-Bas et du comte de Bourgogne' by Baron J.S.F.J.L. De Herckenrode. The surname De la saulx was first found in Burgundy (French: Bourgogne), an administrative and historical region of east-central France, where the family has held a family seat since early times. Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants in the US were: Augustine Saulx who settled in Maryland in 1682. Artists and Engravers: Published by F. en E. Gyselynck. Condition: Good, general age-related toning. Page attached to verso with various other coats of arms. Please study image carefully. Date: 1862 Overall size: 18 x 27 cm. Image size: 12 x 15 cm.     Gorgeous vintage lithograph after Henri de Toulouse Lautrec's "La Gitane" by Jean Richepin. This print was produced in the late 1960's by famed Penn Prints in New York. Overall this print is in great condition. There's some small creases due to handling, but no rips, nicks or discoloration. This print is unframed. This print was originally produced by Henri de Toulouse Lautrec for "La Gitane" or 'The Gypsy," a drama by Jean Richepin in 4 acts. The play was first performed at the Theatre Antoine on January 22nd 1900. This poster was one of only two where Toulouse-Lautrec utilized a process where by several colors can be printed at one pass of the printing press as long as the color sequence is arranged in concert with the movement of the platen.
