Antique print titled 'Het oud Huis van den Ambonschen Landvoogt. - De oude Hollandsche Kerk. - De nieuwe Hollandsche Kerk. - Een Theeng'. Antique print depicting the old house of the Governor of Ambon, the old Dutch Church, the new Dutch Church and an altar. This print originates from 'Oud en Nieuw Oost-Indiën' by F. Valentijn. Artists and Engravers: François Valentijn (1666-1727), a missionary, worked at Amboina from 1684 to 1694 and 1705 to 1713 and travelled extensively in the VOC's lands. Condition: Good, given age. Two original folds, as issued. A crease along one of the folds. Top margin with small damages (not affecting image). Left and top margins a little browned and with small stains. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Blank verso. Please study image carefully. Date: 1726 Overall size: 46.9 x 38.8 cm. Image size: 38.3 x 30.3 cm.
