Antique print titled 'Diser Fuschs mit zwey Schwänzen ist den 14ten Februar. 1734 in der Heyde bey Oranienburg 4 Meilen von Berlin geschossen und der Balg wegen seiner Seltenheit auf der Königl. Kunst und Naturalien Kammer auf behalten worden'. Copper engraving of a fox with two tails found in the year 1734. This print originates from 'Abbildungen der jagtbaren Thiere mit derselben angefuegten Faehrten und Spuhren (..)' by J.E. Ridinger.
Artists and Engravers: Johann Elias Ridinger (1698-1767) was a German painter, engraver, draughtsman and publisher. He is one of the most famous German engravers of animals, in particular horses, hunting scenes and dogs. He was trained in painting by Resch and Falch, and was taught engraving by Georg Philipp Rugendas.
Condition: Good, general age-related toning. Minor wear, blank verso. Please study image carefully.
