A wonderful, attractive, and striking image of the New York City skyline and towering classic buildings by German artist Anton Schutz. Schutz was commissioned by The New York Times to make etchings of New York and other American cities. Signed by the artist in pencil in the lower margin. The print is matted, framed, and ready to hang. Bold and gorgeous. This work would clearly stand out in just about any setting. Schutz's work can be found in numerous prominent collections and museums including: The Library of Congress The New York Public Library The Brooklyn Museum The Chicago Art Institute The Cleveland Museum of Arts The British Museum The Bibliotheque Nationale de Paris The Uffizi Galleries in Florence.     A very large and wonderfully detailed screen print by Asian/ Japanese American artist Masami Teraoka titled "New Views of Mt. Fuji: Sinking Pleasure Boat" is based on his original 1976-77 painting by the same name. The print is numbered in pencil at the lower edge (63/75), blind-stamped and dated (1977) at the upper right, sealed by Teraoka with his personal stamps/seals within the image, and likely hand-signed on verso (we have not removed the artwork from the frame but this is most likely the case). The work was printed on Rives BFK paper by Ron McPherson and Julie McPherson, and published by Space Gallery, Los Angeles, CA. Masami Teraoka has had over 70 solo exhibitions and he has twice been honored by the American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York. He has also received two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts. His works can be found in collections and museums around the world including: The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco; the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco; the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington D.
