About the Item
Elegante coppia di incisioni su carta vergata filigranata, recante marchio "AV", eseguite con la tecnica della calcografia. Le opere raffigurano suggestive scene pastorali ispirate ai dipinti di Francesco Zuccarelli (1702–1788), maestro del paesaggio arcadico settecentesco. Le incisioni sono attribuite a Joseph Wagner (1706–1780), noto incisore ed editore attivo a Venezia, come indicato dalla dicitura "Zuccarelli pinx. / Wagner scul. Venezia C.P.E.S." presente sul margine inferiore. Le scene rappresentano momenti di vita campestre, con figure immerse in paesaggi sereni e naturali, eseguite con grande raffinatezza nel tratto e nella resa del chiaroscuro.
Le incisioni misurano 35,5 × 46,5 cm (area stampata) e sono montate in cornici lastronate in legno di ciliegio, con dimensioni complessive di 52 × 62 cm.
