Antique print titled 'Amaranthus tricolor (..)'. Hand-finished mezzotint engraving of amaranthus tricolor, known as edible amaranth. This print originates from 'Phytanthoza Iconographia' by Johann Wilhelm Weinmann. Published circa 1740. Johann Wilhelm Weinmann was an apothecary and botanist. Noted for his creation of the florilegium Phytanthoza iconographia between 1737 and 1745.
