Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec Screen Prints, A Set of Five

About the Item

A fine set of five screen print Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864-1901). Circa 1950. Lautrec was attracted to the seedier side of the bohemian Parisian lifestyle. His Post-Impressionist renderings include brothels, prostitutes, playhouses, bars, the theater and singular, colorful characters. Born into privilege, he was plagued with misfortune early in life and embraced all types of pain numbing intoxicants. The prints featured are: May Milton, Aristide Bruant, Victor Joze, Divan Japonais, and May Belfort. All are framed with a simple black wood molding and under glass. Only one piece was inspected out of the frame. Good overall condition with minor fading and paper "burn" due to the cardboard and not being archivally backed and matted. There are no visible rips or tears to the prints. They all measure approximately .63" deep x 10.25" wide x 13.75" high framed.
