Kyohei Inukai Echo Signed Modern Opt Art Silkscreen on Paper 11/75 Framed 1974

About the Item

A marvelous modern Op-Art silkscreen on paper titled "Echo" by Japanese artist Kyohei Inukai. Hand signed in pencil on the bottom right with an annotation of 11/75 on the bottom left. Published in 1974. Circular geometric shapes in shades of red while the center circle is an eye-catching blue. Though Kyohei Inukai remained largely unknown as an artist during his lifetime, he produced more than 2,000 artworks over the course of his five-decade career. Among the few showings of his art he had during his lifetime were two in 1970, at the year’s World Exposition in Osaka and the Brooklyn Museum, both in print exhibitions. Original gallery tag from Jacobson's on verso. From a private collection. Dimensions: 25"h x 36.5"w x 1.25"d (framed). In very good vintage condition.
