Large English Tavern Print by W. Dendy Sadler
About the Item
Walter Dendy Sadler (1854-1923) was an English painter, who specialized in domestic and daily life pursuits. His subjects were usually set in the late 18th or early 19th centuries with sentimental, romantic or humorous themes. Before painting a scene, he would create elaborate settings in which local villagers would often pose as models. He was a member of the RBA and exhibited at the Royal Academy.
This particular print would make a great decorative addition to a country house, gentleman's study, tavern room, etc.
