About the Item

Henri Rivière – “La Féérie des Heures – La Brume” This lithograph is signed by Henri Rivière and bears a red stamp mark in the lower right corner. The artwork is authentic and from the original period. In the margin: small stains and ink marks. On the lithograph itself: a light diagonal crease at the top left and a small stain. The lithograph is very fresh in color, and once framed, most imperfections will be barely visible. We have taken numerous close-up photos of the flaws so you can assess the condition yourself. Sold as is. About the Artist: Henri Rivière (1864–1951) was a French painter, engraver, and illustrator. He began his career as a draftsman before turning to intaglio printmaking—particularly etching—in 1882. At the same time, he began working as a stage director and set designer in 1886 at the Cabaret du Chat Noir, where he innovated with color stage sets. He later devoted himself entirely to painting and printmaking, and became a major figure in the history of etching, printmaking, wood engraving, lithography, and watercolor (he created approximately one thousand watercolors). Our numerous photos allow you to fully appreciate the quality of the lithograph. Please examine the photos carefully for condition. Feel free to zoom in — photos are an integral part of the description. Dimensions: Sheet: Height: 67.8 cm Width: 30.5 cm Image: Height: 59.9 cm Width: 24 cm A5350
