Rare Original Lithograph – Signed – Red Stamp – Printed by Eugène Verneau – China Paper
This lithograph, “Paysages Parisiens – L’Île des Cygnes,” is signed by Henri Rivière and features a red stamp mark in the lower left corner.
The work is authentic and dates from the period; it is a rare edition printed on China paper by the renowned printer Eugène Verneau.
In the margins: small tears, minor stains, ink marks, and a halo at the top.
On the lithograph itself: small spots and lighter vertical lines.
The colors are remarkably fresh. Once framed, most of the flaws will be hardly noticeable.

About the Artist:
Henri Rivière (1864–1951) was a French painter, printmaker, and illustrator. He began his artistic career with drawing and intaglio engraving, specifically etching, in 1882. In parallel, he worked as a stage designer and director of shadow theatre at the famous cabaret Le Chat Noir starting in 1886, where he innovated with colorful stage sets.
He later devoted himself entirely to painting and printmaking, becoming a key figure in the history of etching, printmaking, woodcut, lithography, and watercolor. He produced around a thousand watercolors over his lifetime.
