About the Item
A modern surrealist lithograph in colors on paper in the style of Salvador Dali's "The Doctor (The Fight Against the Evil)" artwork. Signed in pencil on the lower right with an annotation of A/P on the lower left. Circa 1981. The patient represents illness and death while the dreamlike scene of the horse through the window represents strength and optimism. This juxtaposition are reoccurring themes found in Dali's artworks. A unique modern statement. Dimensions: 33.5"h x 25.5"w x 1.5"d (framed). In very good vintage condition.
Salvador Dali (1904-1989) was a Spanish painter who was one of the most influential and celebrated artists of the 20th century. Known as one of the founders of the Surrealism movement, he became an artistic icon. His work today can be found in countless museums, galleries, and institutions across the world, and his impact on the modern art world will be remembered for generations to come.
