About the Item
A Pair of Framed 18th c Hand Colored Copper Engravings by Josef Friedrich Leopold (1668-1726) in Augsburg. One titled "Vertumnus and a Nymph Playing With Apples." The other "Mercury the Patron Saint of Cattle." The watercolor paint is later. Both are signed in the plate, one "J F Leopold Excudit" the other signed "Leopold Excudit." Leopold is listed in Benezit volume #5 page page 521.
Frame size: 16.75"W x 13.75"H. Image size: 7.75"H x 10.5" W. Frames are old but not of the period. One has a newer matt.
