About the Item
Antique print, titled: 'Petrus de Jode' -
Portrait of Pieter de Jode II or Pieter de Jode the Younger (1606–1674), a Flemish Baroque printmaker, draughtsman, painter and art dealer. A scion of an important dynasty of printmakers active in Antwerp, he created many prints after the works of leading painters and was a close collaborator of Anthony van Dyck for whom he engraved many portraits. After Thomas Willeboirts Bosschaert (1613 - 1654), a Dutch-born Flemish Baroque painter.

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Joannes Meyssens' after an anonymous artist. Joannes, Jan Meyssens or Jean Meyssens (1612–1670), was a Flemish Baroque painter, engraver, and printer.
Condition:
Good, given age. Some crinkles and spots in the margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
