About the Item

These seven Antique Late 19th Century collection was one of many years of finding the right combination of Auriculas, all purchased at English markets and later framed in gold-leaf classic frames. These are a favorite of many designers and decorators. Each study is a true example of the flower. Some of the studies were framed by different framers which’s adds interest to the group. Many have dating on the back and include Greigs Wellington Auriculas and Smith Lycurgus Auriculas. They are impressive as a grouping in the same room on a gallery wall. One cannot get tired of their quiet understated elegance.
