About the Item
This set of elegantly framed cyanotype prints were created by Artist Sarah L. Morton in 2021. Sarah is an alternative process & abstract artist from Atlanta, GA. All prints are cyanotype on Stonehenge paper floated in an open frame.
‘Lovers’ (center) depicts two birds in flight with a rich blue ink with sharp energetic brush marks. ‘Birds V’ (left) depicts a similar subject matter with a slightly lighter background hue and a circular composition and a bit of light splashes of texture to the left of the birds. ‘Birds II’ (right) shows a single bird in flight. The slightly jagged nature of the composition of this print adds a nice bit of energy to the piece with a slightly light pallet similar to ‘Birds V.’
This process works by placing a negative (to reproduce a photograph) in contact with a piece of coated paper. The paper is Sandwiched with a piece of glass. Expose the sandwich to UV light, and you get the resulting image.
In excellent condition and ready to be hung in any home or office space.
