This entertaining vintage hand-colored aquatint etching 'Multiple Self-Portrait' attributed to Armand Henrion (1875-1958) makes us smile. Henrion's compositions consist of close-set self-portraits, in the guise of a clown. He appears to be enjoying himself—smoking, grimacing, winking and laughing. The makeup and expressions imitated are those of the most nuanced and popular clowns in history: the Pierrot. Framed in an attractive gilded wood frame with an oval linen mat, this piece feels good and is contagious, a cheerful addition to your wall!
