"White Alligator" - 1990s San Francisco Zoo poster

About

This playful poster announces the visit of Antoine le Blanc, a 6 foot long, white alligator weighing 50 pounds. During his 1996 stay at the San Francisco Zoo, he drew large crowds and charmed adults and children alike. Invited back in 2000, his larger brother came instead, disappointing many. But, he’s back! 2008 saw Antoine’s return for a summer in San Francisco, perhaps the perfect venue for a white alligator sensitive to sun. Our foggy mornings and cool summer days should certainly leave Antoine longing for yet another visit.
