19th Century French Louis XV Carved Oak Wall Hanging Shelf from Normandy
About the Item
Hang this elegant, antique shelf in a kitchen or breakfast room to display pots and decorative plates. Crafted in Normandy, France circa 1860, the Louis XV wall hanging piece features a beautiful scalloped apron decorated with hand carved shell and foliage motifs, and dressed with eight bronze hooks. The top features a plate groove to display a collection of faience platters and plates. The shelf is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina.
