Friso Kramer Modular wall unit Asmeta 1953 for Bijenkorf Metal bookcase designed by Friso Kramer for the Dutch "De Bijenkorf" produced by Asmeta, 1953. De Bijenkorf is an exclusive store in The Netherlands, selling clothing brands, design, luxury make-up, bags and more. Friso Kramer was part of the "Stichting Goed Wonen" A magazine for the 50s (Foundation Good Living) The two insert folding doors cabinets were sold as an extra option with the cabinet. You slide the cabinets into the chosen compartment with 2 glides. You can assemble the cabinet entirely to your taste using a special system. The colored plates in yellow and dark blue will first have to be secured before the cabinet is slide in. For the upper or lower part at the back. Once these two cabinets have been placed in the compartment, they can be screwed to the wall from the inside, so that the whole cabinet is fixed. The case shows rust damage inside the compartment cabinet (see photo) and on the back and on top (this is not visible). The cabinet consists of 6 uprights poles (1.95 cm high) and 2 horizontal poles 190.5 cm long. 10 compartments with shelves and 2 compartments cabinets with doors (31 cm deep) 3 pieces rear walls and 6 pieces side walls The cabinet will be shipped completely disassembled. The measurement is 1.95 cm high, 190.5 cm wide and deep 25.5 cm / 31 cm In total is the weight 70 kilos (disassembled)
