About the Item
Early 18th-century abstract tapestry collage.
Something I have never seen before. A 300 year old abstract tapestry made from fragments of potentially nine seperate works. To me, this seems to be the precurser to paper collage, if I may be so bold.
The result is rather special.
Has recently been washed, had some repairs and has had a new backing applied for strength. Hung on Velcro.
