About the Item
This is an antique Aubusson tapestery made in Europe during the end of the 19th century and measures 302x196 CM in size. This piece has a floral design with two bouquets inside of baskets that are attached by bow ties to the decorative frame embedded within the border of this textile. The border has an all-over lattice design with a light blue background color that is broken up with cartouches located in the two bottom corners and on the left and right-hand sides of this tapestry. This piece has a rare and unique field design and is made using silk and metal threads making it stand out among the many other Aubusson tapestries in the market. This example has
been preserved in overall good condition with a few small areas of repair that are consistent with
its age.
