About the Item

Antique multicolored "Trip around the world" quilt, USA late 19th century This Trip Around the World quilt is as crisp as the day it was made some 125 years ago. It was clearly packed away and totally unused. The outer border is a tremendous fire engine red with white stitching for the cable quilting pattern. The blocks are small with each square measuring just 1 1/2" to a side. The colors are beautifully placed combining solid and printed fabrics.
