Mille fleurs (thousand flowers) background.
Replica of ancient tapestry printed to the heart of the wool by silkscreen process on dd slyle fabric.
The Unicorn in Captivity is the last in a series of seven pieces from the medieval art collection kept at the Cloisters. Together, they illustrate the myth of the unicorn, rich in symbols. No hunter could capture the unicorn without the help of a young girl to whom the animal would willingly surrender.
