"Libra, " Important Art Deco Panel by Andrew Szoeke
About the Item
Brilliant in design and palette, this very rare Art Deco panel was created in felt applique by Andrew Szoeke, the Hungarian-American artist best known for his wood inlay furniture. Here, Szoeke uses an arresting array of colors, ranging from red-orange to canary yellow, to depict a nude goddess holding the scales of Libra, running in a field of kaleidoscopic color.
