One of a Kind Fabric Collage Tapestry Designed and Hand Made by Helen Webber
About the Item
Unique one of a kind custom tapestry designed and hand made by California master tapestry artist Helen Webber (American 1928-2019). The artist utilizes a collage technique combining an array of designer upholstery fabrics such as velvets, brocades, worsteds, jacquards, mohair, hand woven woolens, among many others. Yarns of all kinds are integrated into the tapestries surrounding the edges of each fabric piece. This technique, which is unique to Helen Webber, creates a complex textural flowing image. This work entitled "Grasses 2" is signed on the front, labeled and titled on the verso: Custom Tapestry by Helen Webber, copyrighted 2007.
