Tapestry Signed O. Caly - "Dream Evening" - La Lice Contemporary Art Workshop

About the Item

Beautiful limited edition tapestry, entitled "Soir de Rêve", made from the original cartoon by Odette Caly. This work was produced by the Atelier d'Art Contemporain La Lice, under the artistic direction of Jean-Picart Le Doux, famous for his influence in the art of contemporary tapestry. . Edition: Series A, number 65/250 . Technique: Hand-made tapestry with colored threads on a black background, representing bright and dreamlike floral patterns . Signature: the tapestry is signed "Caly" at the bottom left, and it bears on the back a certificate of authenticity from the workshop. Odette Caly has collaborated with renowned workshops linked to the tradition of Aubusson tapestry. The Atelier d'Art Contemporain La Lice, under the direction of J. Picart Le Doux, has perpetuated the tradition of Aubusson quality while innovating and has allowed contemporary artists such as Odette Caly to contribute to the modernization of this age-old art. This tapestry is a typical example of the revival of textile art in the 1960s and 1970s, mixing vibrant colors and modernist motifs.
