About the Item
Miriam Shorr was a water colorist as well as a talented needlepoint artist. All the work she did was to her own design, as she used the yarn in much the same way she used paint. She also worked in ink on rice paper, including the shore birds and the street scape.
Miriam's sister, Rose Lautman, worked exclusively in fabric collage with a meticulous hand and a fine needle.
Rose's and Miriam's art was exhibited in galleries primarily in Sarasota, Florida during those years.
Assembled here are works by both sisters, completed during the 1960's and 1970's.
Each piece is priced individually.
The four works shown above, clockwise starting with the constructivist needle point in the upper left are, respectively, $1200, $1200, $1500 and $1800 (Faces).
