Vintage Fiber Art Woven Wall Hanging
About the Item
USA, 1960s
1960s handwoven textile piece in burgundy with some chartreuse accents. Beautiful vintage fiber art, extra tall and slim (purchased from a midcentury estate and it was hanging in the tall stairwell). Nice body, texture, and dimension to this piece, and in a rich colorway with some metallic threads on the body of the piece- has almost a Chanel tweed feeling to it. The top has a triangular hanging section in textured rope on top of the wooden rod.
Reverse has the tag shown, which was pinned to the back. It states:

CONDITION NOTES: Very good vintage condition. No evidence of exposure to smoke or other odors. This will be rolled to ship.
DIMENSIONS: 26" W x 2.25" Depth x 98" overall height; measured from the top of the rod to just before the fringe, height is 70.5"; fringe is 13" H; Top jute rope hanging triangle has a drop of 14.5" (can be adjusted by re-knotting if desired).
