About the Item
Beautiful marked tapestry of the Spanish artist/painter Joan Miro based on his painting Femme et Oiseaux (1966).
A playful, experimental approach of art is characteristic for Miros work.
Joan Miro stood literally at the base of the founding of the famous CoBrA movement which arose during an exposition of his work in Paris, where the artists Karel Appel, Asger Jorn en Constant Nieuwenhuis coincidentally met each other. Experimenting with all kinds of materials, colours, forms and techniques were a source of knowledge and renewal for Miro as well as the other CoBrA-artists.
This very decorative rug cq. wall carpet, produced in France, is in excellent condition, an authentic Hand-Knotted rug woven in Persia with special field and kork wool knot/pile on the structure of Cotton.
