Pair Large Carved Gitwood Brackets
About the Item
This is an exceptional pair of large Italian carved gold leafed acanthus leaf-form brackets. The generous size of the these brackets allows them to be used as small consoles. The brackets are carved in detailed relief and retain most of their original gilding. The brackets are in overall good condition; there are old excellent restorations to the tips of the acanthus leaves.
