About the Item
Superb in conception and execution, this pair of terra cotta plaques, depicting the pairing of a harp and guitar in the manner of Gris or Braque, is beautifully glazed in hues of turquoise, mossy green and rust. Meant to be hung on a wall or placed on a table stand, these are very fine examples of the blending of Art Deco and Cubism that took place in the decorative arts of the 1930s.
