About the Item

Tondo ligneo tornito da un unico pezzo di noce, con al centro un raro calco in stucco raffigurante la scena biblica dell’Albero della Vita con Adamo, Eva e il serpente. L’opera, databile alla metà del Seicento, presenta una cornice a profilo modanato e un inserto centrale modellato probabilmente per uso decorativo o funzionale (stampo ornamentale). Sul retro è visibile l’incisione "S.A.C.R. 1655". Un oggetto di grande fascino e suggestione, che unisce arte sacra e artigianato, conservato in condizioni compatibili con l’età: crettature e antiche fratture consolidate confermano l’autenticità dell’insieme.
