1740s Georgian Diamond Brooch

About the Item

Georgian diamond brooch. Set with one hundred and ten rose and table cut diamonds of varying shapes and sizes, in closed back cut down settings with a total approximate diamond weight of 10.00 carats, to an elegantly articulated openwork design, featuring finely crafted floral motifs issuing leaves and delicate foliage, with minor repair work done to the original piece, fitted to reverse with a later hinged pin and secure scrolling clasp, approximately 8.2cm in length. Tested silver with gold fittings, English, circa 1740. Please note shipping to the United States of America requires the purchaser to fill out a CBP 5106 customs form before the item is shipped.
