This classic art deco 1930s bakelite fruit pin is a rarity. Cherries are the most common....with most other fruits being much rarer. Apricots, particularly rare. A resin washed rectangular barpin is carved and colored to ressemble tree bark, and 5 carved succulent apricots are suspended from cellulose acetate ivory toned chain via brass O rings. Also present are a multitude of green cellulose acetate leaves. This is the classic form of bakelite fruit pin. The entire assemblage is articulated and moves with the wearer's step. Approximately 2.5" wide and close to 3.75 inches long, the pinback is original and functions perfectly.
