Antique Victorian 1890s Ruby Diamond Pearl Yellow Gold Crescent Bar Brooch
About the Item
A stunning 2.38 carat ruby and 0.30 carat diamond, pearl and 14 karat yellow gold, 14k white gold set 'Crescent' bar brooch; part of our diverse antique jewelry collections.
This stunning, fine and impressive antique crescent moon brooch has been crafted in 14k yellow gold with a 14k white gold setting.
The bar style brooch is ornamented to the center with a pierced decorated, crescent shaped setting.
The incurve of the crescent is embellished with thirteen 14k white gold pavé set Old European round cut diamonds, graduating in size.
The outer border of the crescent is ornamented with seventeen graduated round mixed cut rubies, bezel set in 14k yellow gold.
The bar is ornamented with a single 7mm pearl, surrounded by the crescent shaped setting.
The bar has an individual six claw/prong set round mixed cut ruby terminal to either end.
The brooch secures with a hinged pin and clap to the reverse.
This stunning antique Victorian brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 14k gold.
The brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
Condition
This stunning antique 1890s brooch is fine quality set with rubies and very well color matched, very high color graded old cut diamonds.
The brooch is a very good gauge of gold and is in excellent condition, fitted to the original push fit box, showing signs of wear in keeping with age.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of Victorian jewellery/estate jewelry.
