Antique Victorian Moon Crescent Brooch Silver Silver Gilt
About the Item
This lovely brooch designed as a moon crescent has an unusual ondulated surface. Stripes of plain silver with rose gold gilding alternate with silver stripes that have been finely engraved with a wavy line that is reminiscent of fern leaves or some fine algae accompanied by a rhythmical dot pattern. The. crescent was created in the 1880's and has an impressed hallmark on the clasp.
