Conch Pearl, Diamond and Enamel Brooch and Pendant

About the Item

A conch pearl, diamond and enamel brooch/pendant, the pink pearl measuring 14.3 x 11.3 mm, accompanied by GCS Report stating to be natural, surrounded by a cushion shaped black enamelled frame, vertically-set between two pear-shaped diamonds, the one weighing 1.09 carats of H colour SI1 clarity, the other weighing 1.19 carats of H colour VS1, within an openwork frame set with small old European and swiss-cut diamonds estimated to weigh a further total 1.2 carats, all mounted in platinum, with detachable diamond-set pendant loop with trace chain and detachable brooch fittings, circa 1950, measuring 35 x 23mm, gross weight 13.4 grams. Unmarked (all parts including chain) tested as Platinum. A conch pearl, diamond and enamel brooch/pendant in Excellent condition. A magnifcent brooch/pendant from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. This piece features a wonderful central pastel pink conch pearl surrounded by glittering diamonds and can be worn as either a pendant or as a brooch. Made in the mid-twentieth century, this is a timeless and wonderful piece.
