Late Victorian Natural Pearl and Diamond Brooch/Pendant
About the Item
A late Victorian pearl and diamond brooch/pendant, centrally-set with a cream pearl measuring approximately 8.7 mm in diameter, to a diamond-set scroll openwork designed surmount, terminating to an old European-cut diamond weighing approximately 0.4 carats, suspending a pear-shaped pearl measuring approximately 9.1 x 7.0 mm, accompanied by GCS Report stating that the pearls are natural of saltwater origin, the old brilliant-cut diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 2.5 carats, all set in silver to a 14ct yellow gold mount, with detachable brooch fitting, and foldable pendant loop, circa 1890, measuring approximately 4.5 x 2.5cm, gross weight 8.1 grams, in original fitted case.
