Edwardian Diamond Platinum Brooch
About the Item
Beautifully designed and masterfully handcrafted, this Edwardian brooch from ca. 1910 exhibits the skilled techniques of a master jeweler. From wonderful ajour work to fine milligrain along the edges of all the channel settings to the curved and three-dimensional placements of all the elements, this period piece truly comes to life when pinned to the blouse, jacket, or collar it is worn on. Set with over 140 rose cut diamonds, 12 Old European cut diamonds, and 1 antique cushion cut diamond, the total diamond weight has been estimated at approximately 3.75 carats.
