Italian 1950 Midcentury Enameled Flower Brooch in 18 Karat Gold with Sapphires
About the Item
Colorful flower brooch.
Very colorful brooch, created in the city of Alessandria Italy during the mid century period, back in the 1950. This piece has been carefully crafted in the shape of a flower in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with textured finish. Embellished with applications of colorful hot enamel. Fitted with a hinged pin bar and a security lock.
Sapphires: Mount in four-prongs settings, with 4 round faceted cut of natural sapphires, 0.12 carats.
Birthstone: Sapphires for the month of September.
:Weight: 10.95 Grams, (7.02 Dwt).
Measurements: 35 mm by 37 mm (1.38 x 1.46 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "ITALY 536AL 18KT .750".
Note: Guilloché is used in fine jewelry to enhance the appearance of brooches, rings and pendants. Guilloché enamel refers to metal pieces that have been given the Guilloché treatment and then covered with a translucent layer of enamel, giving the geometric patterns underneath the enamel a colorful hue.
Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this brooch is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. All gemstones are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
